David Gowdie has been in ministry for over thirty years and currently serves as senior pastor of Gratia Life Fellowship.
He is a dedicated Bible teacher committed to living out the call of God in his life. His ministry experience began many years ago as a new believer’s teacher, which followed years of teaching every age group. In his early years of ministry, Pastor David was involved in planting churches and assumed various roles such as mission’s director, assistant pastor, pastor’s assistant, and Sunday School teacher. Years later, the Lord led him to Calvary Chapel Westminster under the leadership of Pastor Brian Brodersen and, subsequently, Pastor Alwyn Wall, where he served for several years before emigrating with his family to Florida.
Under the guidance of the Lord, Pastor David found his way to his local Calvary Chapel fellowship, where he began serving in various capacities. Over several years, he dedicated himself to the community, gaining valuable experience and deepening his faith. In February 2020, he was officially ordained as a pastor, and two years later, in 2022, he stepped into the role of senior pastor, taking on greater responsibilities to lead and guide the congregation. His commitment to the community is unwavering, and after a short sabbatical for rest and reflection, he is excited to lead Gratia Life Fellowship, where he looks forward to fostering spiritual growth and building a solid community of believers.
Pastor David is a dedicated student of the Word with diverse interests. He is an avid reader, passionate about music, travel, gardening, and the arts. His passion for life complements his love for the Word. He has married Cheryl for over thirty-four years and has two sons.
